My Shocker Bucket List

When I made the decision to attend Northwest I had intentions of participating in so many events, and getting involved in at least two clubs.  In reality I've been to two football games, two plays (I had to go for a class), and I am involved in one wonderful organization.  I also wanted to study abroad in Greece or Italy.  I think about all the ambitions I had when I arrived at Northwest, and the fact that I decided to transfer in October might have something to do with the fact that I didn't get super involved in anything.  This fall though, I am going to my dream school.  I have so many events I want to attend.  I'm hoping that by writing them in this blog post I can check most, if not all of these things off of my "bucket list."

1. Attend at least two Shocker Basketball Games
I'm hoping that this won't be a problem for me, and that I'll actually go to way more than two.  I am not a sports person, but put a WSU game on TV and I'm hooked.  Wichita has a great team and their games are so much fun to watch, like when they beat Kansas on Sunday for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen :).  Also, tickets to sporting events are free for students, so I have no excuse not to go.

2. Go to one play...for fun
I have been to a couple plays at Northwest, but only because I had to go for Theater Appreciation class, and I had to pay for the tickets.  Wichita offers free fine arts tickets for students, so again, I have no excuse to not go.

3. Go to Hippodrome
At this point, you're probably wondering what the heck hippodrome is.  Answer: I am not totally sure, but I think it involves students from all types of organizations performing hilarious skits. I've heard a lot about this event since it's such a big deal on campus, and it seems like something worth going to.

Right now, my bucket list for WSU is pretty small because I don't know as much about events as I did when I started at Northwest, but I'll continue to update it during my years as a student and I'm hoping that since I'll be at my dream school, getting involved and crossing these things off my bucket list will be a piece of cake.
